We Need to Militarize Our Society Part 2

 Make Your Firearms and Ammunition Uniform

You can only shoot one at a time. Shoot the right one at the right time.

Let me be clear. By "militarize our society" I do not mean 'US soldiers and MRAPs on every street in America.' Why, with a well-armed society, would Americans need our military to protect us from what we are capable of protecting ourselves? We are not, after all, the French.

Unarmed French military, with no ammunition or magazines, on the streets of Paris "protecting" unarmed French citizens during the January 2015 terror attacks.

Following the Marxist caliphate of Barack Obama US armed forces will likely be engaged against ISIS and affiliated terror groups throughout the world. This means collaboration between law enforcement and armed Americans will be necessary to protect the homeland from attacks by local or imported jihadists.*1

Note, it is not the responsibility or capability of law enforcement, federal or local, to protect you, your family, or your community from criminal deadly force. Law enforcement can deter and respond to crime but violent and deranged actors will always seek segments of the public perceived to be unprotected or unarmed. It is, therefore, your responsibility as an armed American to protect yourself, and those who cannot protect themselves, during attacks on innocent life. 

Priority Number Two: Make your firearms and ammunition uniform

My love for firearms aside I am not a gun collector. I appreciate gun collectors for their support of  the firearm industry but, personally, I do not have the time or money to collect guns when it can costs $3000 - $5000 to purchase and outfit a single battle rifle. And although I support hunters and competitive shooting I do not own guns for "sport." I own guns solely for the defense of life, freedom, and liberty guaranteed by the greatest Constitution ever written in the greatest Republic ever created.

Own at least two common caliber pistols: 9mm and .45cal:

If you are not an armed citizen become so, now, starting with a common caliber pistol (9mm or .45 caliber) and training from a reputable firearms instructor. From the West Gate Mall attack in Nairobi, Kenya to the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris, France active shootings in public places are the growth sector for Islamic jihad.

In other words, it is far more plausible that you, as an armed citizen, will be victim of a terrorist attack while out shopping or at the movies than at home seconds away from your plate carrier and battle rifle. This makes it essential you have the right carry pistol and enough ammunition to deal with a criminal or terrorists active shooting while in public.

For myself the “right pistol” is a Gen3 Glock. I am not a gear snob or “fan boy.” I simply want to keep things simple and to do so “pistol” means Glock, “AR” means Colt, and “AK” means Saiga. These are not the only pistols and rifles brands I own. They are, however, the brands of firearms I own in case of criminal or terrorist violence. Again, I want the best performing gun that can be the most reliable under the worst circumstances, which means the three aforementioned brands.

Pistols for stopping an active shooting/terror attack in public: Glock 19 and Glock 30

With three Glock 17 Mags one can max out a Glock 19 with 52 rounds of potent 9mm ammunition.

With three Glock 21 Mags one can max out a Glock 30 with 40 rounds of heavy-hitting .45 caliber ammunition.

Handguns to accompany your "battle rattle" or Minute Man loadout: Glock 17 and Glock 21

Again, I am not a "Glock salesman." My goal with the "militarize our society" series is to encourage, among armed Americans, uniformity in ammunition, magazine capacity, training, and understanding of violent treats facing our society and civilization. Glock pistols happen to be the most practical system for my handgun thesis. Carry the pistol you want, but ensure it is a proven reliable brand in a common caliber with ample magazine capacity. No revolvers!

Assuming you have a your pistols sorted, let's address your "rifle situation."

Own at least one quality AR-15:

A military-spec Colt 6920 can be purchased at most local gun stores for under a thousand dollars. If you do not have a thousand dollars to spend on an AR rifle, save until you do and purchase knowing you will gravely enrage every Marxist in the Obama administration.

There are multitudes of high-quality AR's on the market, many "better" than the Colt 6920. Colt AR rifles, however, are the battle-proven standard for the US military and can be customized to meet the demands of any mission or small arms threat environment.


"I'm strictly an AK guy!" 

My "go to" battle rifle is the Saiga SGL-31. As the saying goes, 'ARs are for missions, AKs are for war.' Believe me, I get it. I know the tolerances of the AK versus the AR, but there might be occasions when, in the protection of American life and liberty, your prized AK is not be the best choice; notably in a community joint security operation where rifles and caliber are "AR." As an armed society we need the capability to work together for the security and preservation of our republic. That, again, entails common platforms and common calibers when necessary.

Own at least one quality AK-47/74:

AK-47 and AK-74 rifles use the two most common ammunition calibers on any battlefield in the world today. With the Obama-fostered expansion of Islamic jihad it is not unreasonable to suggest armed Americans could come fact-to-face with organized terror groups wielding these rifles. As of this writing ISIS is planning an invasion of Italy from Libya and, I can assure you, dreams if invading the United States. Considering their successes in Africa and the Middle East we had better take them seriously.

There are as many variants of AKs, as there are ARs, but I recommend sticking to Russian and Bulgarian models. Simplicity and reliability.

Having common caliber rifles and pistols make it easy to be prepared, keep gun ownership simple, and allow us to more affordably compile stores of ammunition. Saving on guns and ammunition correlate to more training and a more effectively armed America.

Priority Number One: Secure American public and private schools.

"Gun free" schools have been key targets for deranged active shooters and will so be for deranged Islamic terrorists. Protect your community's public and private schools, now! Do not wait until the next "PTA meeting" to address security shortcomings of the places your children study and learn. Call your school system superintendent immediately about enhancing school security with an armed resource officer (law enforcement officer) at every school in your district.

With the availability of local, city, country, and state law enforcement resources there are no excuses for not having every school in your district protected by at least one, well-armed, full-time police officer trained in active shooter response.

Update Your EDC To Meet Today's Threats: My Story

 Are you carrying enough gun and ammunition? Probably not. 

My "EDC" BEFORE an increase in active shootings and growth of global terror groups: 11 rounds of 230 Grain .45 cal FMJ and a small knife.

Why do you carry a gun? Knife-wielding meth zombies? Rapists? Armed robbers? In those cases brandishing a Sig P250 might be enough to send such attackers running. Currently, however, America is facing violent threats uncommon to our society a generation ago. This means you need more gun  unless that P250 is a backup weapon.

When I moved back to the United States in 2003, after living abroad for seven years, I resided in a state different from where I was born. All of the firearms from my younger years were at a family  home thousands of miles from my new adopted state. I was essentially unarmed. That quickly changed once I got a roof over my head and a new driver's license.

Soon after acquiring my first "carry" pistol I received my CCW license, but rarely carried. I lived in a trendy downtown neighborhood and never thought much about crime. My then new Glock 30 sat gathering dust on a shelf in the closet of my master bedroom. There was an indoor gun range near my home but I rarely practiced. I didn't see any practical use in standing in a lane repeatedly loading, shooting, and reloading. It bored the bag off me, and even if I did go to the range I never burned through more than a 100 rounds. 

That all changed when I was introduced to a weapons instructor who was also retired US Army SF. No, I don't mean a super Ninja, stolen valor, phony Navy Seal weapons instructor. I mean a real former member of US Special Forces who taught gun fighting over just "shooting."

The handgun fighting techniques I learned from that former First Sergeant were like nothing I had ever seen or heard. Shooting with my eyes closed, shooting from the hip, shooting off handed and, of course, shooting and reloading cover to cover. I was the most confident I had ever been with a firearm.

Unfortunately my firearms instructor became my "former" firearms instructor when he took a better paying contractor job with, what was then, Blackwater in Iraq. It was at that time I asked, "what, as a civilian, will I ever do with knowledge of gun fighting techniques?"

Fast forward twelve years to a post financial collapse economy, weak and uncertain job sector, open southern border, unprecedented levels of illegal immigration, ubiquitous illicit drug cartels, record number of active shooting events (in gun free zones), and the explosive growth of Islamic terror, and I now know why I spent time and money learning to fight with a gun.

Carrying a gun is not about "feeling" safe. Carrying a gun is about ensuring that those who would injure or kill you are injured or killed by you.  If you are not carrying enough gun and ammo to deal with the worst of the aforementioned bad guys, you need to update. Times have changed.

Be armed. Be trained. Be prepared.

America's Next Total War: Allied Muslim Nations Will Not Defeat Islamic Jihad

-Muslim nations, currently living under some form of oppressive Islam, will not defeat ISIS or like terror groups.

 

What will the global conflict with militant Islam look like on 20 January 2017? Will the professorial Marxist Obama have "dismantled and defeated" the planet's most infamous Islamic death cult, or will ISIS be stronger than ever with more territory, arms, and personnel? Will ISIS be a distant memory, on Obama's last day in the White House, or will Italy's capital city be a smoldering mound of ash bearing a giant black and white flag?

Since he created ISIS in Syria, Libya, and Iraq Obama has delegated the responsibility for the "defeat" of ISIS to our Muslim allies in the region. But if you believe the war with terror can be won by nations like Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey ask yourself, “What exactly are our Muslim allies fighting for?” Is it freedom, individual liberty, economic opportunity, social-political diversity, and adherence to a constitution founded on the aforementioned? None of these social or legal concepts, exclusive to America, exist in the Muslim world.

In addition to our Muslim ally nations being unimpressed, if not repulsed, by American concepts of freedom and liberty, our Muslim ally armies are generally weak, corrupt, nepotistic, inadequately-trained, and overall ineffective fighting forces against highly-motivated suicidal terrorist groups like ISIS.

Daesh (ISIS), after all, is not killing Muslims simply because they are “Muslim.” Daesh is killing Muslims who either oppose them on field of battle or do not accept ISIS brand of Sharia. In other words, do not oppose Daesh and accept their form of Sharia and you, as a Muslim, have a good chance of being incorporated by their "Islamic state.” To our Muslim allies in the cross hairs of ISIS such an incorporation might be more attractive than a dilatory beheading on YouTube.

Are you motivated to kill Islamic militants as they are to brutally murder you?

-Armed American civilians will face Muslim radicals

What is the exact US strategy for destroying ISIS and other radical Muslim groups? The Obama administration, whose policies have overseen an unprecedented expansion of Islamic Jihad, is certainly without one. In fact, a recent White House summit on “violent extremism” concluded, with zero specifics, that American “sovereign citizens” are a greater danger than the savages beheading and burning a Sharia path across Libya, Syria, Iraq, and soon likely Europe. *(1)

As I see it the tactical objective of free society's war against militant Islam is to retake their territorial gains by killing the jihadists in mass. However, the strategic objective, moderating the Islamic faith, is a far more demanding task that will take years if not generations to accomplish.

Islamic militants cannot be dissuaded or “rehabilitated.” Islamic jihad, which exists everywhere, is a global cancer that has to be cut off the face of the earth. As Americans we need to accept the reality that, whether military or civilian, we will be a part this war well beyond the end of Obama's reign and the destruction of one or two jihadist armies. All Americans must, therefore, be willing to combat militant Islam for the preservation of freedom and Western civilization. *(2)

As an armed American, are you prepared to stop an Islamic terror attack in your community? Have you talked to family and friends about the possibility of attacks by local Islamic radicals? Have you talked with your firearms instructors about "modifying the curriculum" to deal with more dynamic threats? If not, start talking and planning now. With Jihad's global facilitator as the incumbent executive until January 2017 it is likely, whether home grown or imported, American citizens will come face to face with violent Muslim radicals.

Consider Al Shabaab's recent threat to attack civilians at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. This is the same Somali terror group that killed 60 men, women, children, and infants at the West Gate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya on 21 September 2013. Do you think a "West Gate" could not happen at any shopping mall in the US? If so you have forgotten 9/11 and overlook that for over 140 years, from the American Revolution to the last Indian war, violent conflict was a constant on American soil. War, regardless of its causes, does not recognize concepts like “modern times” and quickly invalidates the “it can't happen here” idea commonly held by most Americans.

Reference Italy; a modern European nation. Currently, ISIS is threatening to invade Italy from the Libyan coast and burn Rome to the ground. After promising a resounding military response Italy's Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, realizing Italy has neither the means or resolve to fight ISIS, reconsidered and comically stated, “Our proposal is to wait for the U.N. Security Council. The strength of the U.N. is decidedly superior to that of the radical militias.”

Reading this I immediately recalled Micheal Savage saying, 'Italy has more men staring at their own butts in the mirror than it does manning the Italian military.' As an armed American, could you imagine depending on the “military” of the UN Security Council to save you from a rampaging Islamic death cult like ISIS? This, of course, would be funny if not so many lives were at risk. 

Obama's next two years will be dangerous times for America. Until January 2017 the US presidency, and all government agencies, will be administered by Marxist radicals sympathetic, if not outright helpful, to the growth of genocidal Islam and the continued destruction of American freedoms. 

Be armed. Be trained. Be prepared.
